Rachel's Schedule
*I’ve recently stepped into a larger role teaching yoga for the Calgary Police Service, which means I have less availability for public classes. Going forward, I’ll be offering just two public classes — and I would truly love to see you there if you can join.
My hope is that the Feel-Good Flow (FFF) series will make a comeback in the future, but for now, these two classes are your chance to practice together, connect, and keep moving.

Wednesdays:
8:45 - 9:45 am ~ Yoga For Backs, Springbank Dancers register here 

Fridays:
9:30 - 10:30 am ~ Vinyasa Flow, YogaMCC- Bowness


Fun Functional Flow-Active:
In this class always expect the unexpected. We will combine intelligent functional movements with a sense of play and of course your breath. This class integrates strong poses, some that you're familiar with and some that might be new to you. It will be at a slower pace to ensure that you feel the 'juice' in each moment. Considering you're at home/office we'll get creative with every day items to use as props. Unroll your mat in the kitchen or wherever you have space and start your day with an energizing Yoga class with ME!

Fun Functional Flow-Gentle:
Wear your comfy clothes to this class and allow yourself to melt into supportive holds, deep breaths and overall wellness. In this gentle class we will explore different movements to enhance your body’s mobility and flexibility. We will spend more time connecting to the breath to ensure the brain-body connection is optimal which in turn creates better range of motion. This class is suitable for all levels and I encourage you to have a blanket/felt pad/towel, a belt/thera band and a pillow/something that you can sit on.

Yoga for Backs:
This Yoga for backs class will help you relieve strain and tension in the body by using long holds in therapeutic postures. Once your body has released into the posture we integrate intelligent slow movement with the use of special props to activate/release the muscular and skeletal systems. This results in harmonizing deeply rooted preference patterns to realign your spine and improve your overall well being. This class is beneficial for everyone including beginners.

Vinyasa Flow:
Vinyasa Flow invites you to approach your practice with a lighthearted sense of play. Together, we’ll weave breath and movement to explore balance, harmony, and the joy of simply being in your body.
 
Inspired by the structure of Ashtanga, the class includes sun salutations, a grounding standing sequence, and a mindful seated sequence. Expect planks, smiles, and challenges that encourage curiosity rather than perfection. Throughout the class, we’ll incorporate breathing, grounding, and regulation techniques to create coherence in the body, mind, and heart—cultivating ease, presence, and a playful connection with yourself.
